Is NYC Moving Pros a moving company?
We are a moving referral and planning service, not a moving company. We collect your move details and introduce you to one independent moving partner. Before booking, verify that partner’s legal name, authority, insurance and written estimate.
What happens after I request a quote?
Your request captures the move type, inventory, access, timing and contact details. A moving partner reviews the brief and follows up to clarify the scope and discuss an estimate. Submitting a request does not reserve a crew or confirm availability.
Does it cost anything to submit a request?
No. You do not pay NYC Moving Pros to submit a request. We may receive a referral fee from the moving partner. You review and agree to moving charges directly with the partner before booking.
What should I ask my building before moving?
Ask for the certificate of insurance requirements, freight-elevator reservation process, permitted moving hours, loading access, deposits and submission deadline. Share requirements for both buildings with the mover before finalizing the estimate.
Can I plan a move if my date is still flexible?
Yes. Use a rough timeframe in the quote request and select the flexible timing option. Include any lease-end date or building deadline that cannot move. The partner will need to confirm the final date and availability.
