What to know about this route
Atlanta is the Southeast's distribution hub, so trucks run constantly and pricing is among the most competitive per mile out of NYC. Intown neighborhoods with narrow streets (Virginia-Highland, Inman Park) may need a shuttle truck on delivery — ask up front.
Getting a real quote
Long-distance pricing is set by inventory (what's actually on the truck), not square footage — so a real quote requires a video or in-home survey. Any mover who gives you a firm number in a five-minute phone call is giving you a number that will change. Ask the mover who would transport the shipment to survey the inventory and put the estimate type and price in writing.
